Moner Bondhu won The Champion title in ‘Act Covid-19’ hackathon

The online hackathon ‘Act Covid-19’ has been organized at the initiative of the Information and Communication Technology Department of the government to deal with the Covid-19 situation. The hackathon was held as the first activity of a platform called ‘Call for Nation’.

Moner Bondhu won the Champion title in Call for Nation platform under the theme – Mental Health and Well Being.
The Act Covid-19: Call for Nation is powered by ICT Division – Skills Development for Mobile Game and Application project.

Moner Bondhu will introduce the first-ever mental health app in Bangladesh exclusively for mental health in Bangladesh to deal with the Corona situation. The mobile application will be known as Moner Bondhu App.

“Since the beginning of the Corona situation, we have been providing free mental health care to people across the country with the help of UNDP,” said Touhida Shiropa, founder and CEO of Mind Friend. Our team is working 24 hours a day. The team spirit of the friend of the mind is working behind it. This award will help us move our work forward. This app will work more easily and reach more people in this situation.

She said the friend of the mind will create the first mental health app in the country. Corona situation so that people can overcome frustration, panic, fear. It will be meditation-based. There will be different types of guided meditation in Bengali including mindfulness for women, children and the elderly.

This app will also have different types of tips and writing for awareness. Chatbots will also be here. In addition, you can also take services directly with psychosocial counsellors. The app will be available in the Google Play Store very soon.
